This Week's Obsession

 

GIRLS 

Now I have been obsessing over this show for a good couple weeks now and I am still only on the first season! It was only when it came to writing this week's Obsession post that I finally came to terms with my  obsession with this show! 

It's set in New York and follows 4 young women trying to survive in the Big Apple and we watch them overcome hardships and discuss all those awkward taboo topics! This show is a mega LOL all the way through and a seriously amazing show that addresses and presents some very serious issues in a fabulous way!

TREND WEEK #1 - 

SHEER JOY 

So the main trend that I spotted on most catwalks was the sheerness of all the garments! Granted some of them took sheer to a new extreme but on the whole I think this trend is here to stay and is perfect for any of you who love layering! 

This trend has a very wholesome, innocent feel to it and adds a touch of romance to any outfit and looks fabulous with pastels and other lighter, faded colours! 

 

More affordable ways of wearing this trend.

This Week's Obsession

 

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS

It feels so good to be doing another one of these posts especially considering how it has been an ETERNITY since my last one! However back on to topic!

This week's obsession is the american ABC T.V series - Pretty Little Liars! Once I was up to date with The Carrie Diaries I was at a complete loss! I now had to wait a week before the next episode(I know unheard of right?) Then by chance I stumbled upon this; now I wasn't a complete PLL virgin, sure I'd read every article Seventeen had ever done on it and I'd seen the ads but it all just seemed like just another american teen drama - little did I know. 

The show is based upon how a year after a tight-knit group girls lost their leader (Alison - who mysteriously disappeared)her body turns up, but then they start getting strange texts and emails from a mysterious 'A' (see the connection?) and then plot just gets stranger and scarier from there!

☺︎ Beating The Blues! ☺︎

 

It's January and we're all a little depressed. The festivities are finished, we all feel fat and we've resumed our 6am wakeup call. So how do we get ourselves out of this MEGA rut? Well I find it easier to pick myself up when I've got a challenge or a goal to achieve - but that's just me. You know how you feel in the holidays when you have no deadlines or timetables and you start to become a bit ... listless? 

Well the only way to beat that is to set goals, to challenge yourself so you have a reason to wake up in the morning! Now I know you're all thinking "but I've just made my NY's Resolutions. Why do I need to make MORE goals?" The answer is that we all have a tendency to make absolutely RIDICULOUS and very generalised goals; get fit, eat healthier, work harder etc. And because of this we can never achieve them because they're so general and not specific enough for our day to day lives! We all need to start making S.M.A.R.T goals! 

 

S.M.A.R.T goals are easier to achieve because of the above; because they are tailored to YOU you'll find it a lot easier to achieve!

☆ Happy New Year! ☆

 

So Happy New Year!

I'm sorry for not blogging. I know I said  this in my last post but... 

I only just started school on Monday and I've spent the week trying to fix my body clock (which ended up me sleeping on the bus every morning) and trying to adjust to having to use my brain. This last part was a sever struggle especially when I spelt loneliness as loniless - see what I mean? 

But enough of me blabbering on. I have spent some time away from YouTube mainly because my laptop has been playing up a bit recently and I actually have A LOT of videos in store for you! 

So Happy New Year and I will be speaking to you guys soon !
